• Gastroenteritis and Enterocolitis (mixed flora), Salmonellosis, Shigellosis: Adults take 500 mg twice daily for 5-7 days. Children take 30 mg/kg/day in two divided doses for 5-7 days.

• Prophylactic sterilization in gastrointestinal surgery: Adults take 2 g daily for 3 days. Children take 50 mg/kg/day for 3 days.

Precautions:

Patients with ulcerative intestinal lesions should use Daboral cautiously to avoid renal toxicity. Avoid Daboral in patients with intestinal obstruction or known hypersensitivity to paramomycin.

Common Side Effects:
