Ecee 2 is a brand name for a type of emergency contraceptive pill (ECP). ECPs are also known as the morning-after pill. They can be used to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex.

Ecee 2 contains levonorgestrel, a synthetic version of the natural hormone progesterone. Levonorgestrel ECPs work by preventing or delaying the release of an egg from the ovary. They may also work by preventing fertilization of an egg or by preventing a fertilized egg from implanting in the uterus.

Ecee 2 is most effective when taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex. It is less effective the longer you wait.
